When it comes to Cenote Diving, it’s less about one specific Cenote being safer than another and more about practicing SAFE DIVING PRACTICES.
Safety Tips for Cenote Diving:
🐠 Stay within the limits of natural light
🐠 Stay within 60m/200 linear ft from an opening
🐠 Stay under the maximum depth of 70ft/21 meters
🐠 Carry at least one light per diver
🐠 Make sure all of your gear is secured and nothing is dangling freely
🐠 Adhere to the rule of thirds for air consumption: ensure your tank has 1/3 for the way in, 1/3 for the way out and 1/3 in reserve, and
