Angelita & Car Wash
Two-Tank Dive

Your day begins at our dive shop in Tulum, where you’ll meet your guide and any other divers joining the trip. We take time to get everyone properly fitted for equipment, complete any necessary paperwork, and make sure everything is comfortable before setting off for the day.

Once everything is organised, we load the equipment into the guide’s truck and head out together toward the cenotes. Unlike ocean diving, cenote adventures take you inland, away from the coastline and into the jungle. Angelita is around 25 minutes from Tulum, making for an easy start to the day.

After the short drive, we arrive at Angelita. Before entering the water, your guide will give a full briefing covering the dive route, communication and what to expect underwater.

Known for its famous underwater hydrogen sulphide cloud, Angelita offers one of the most surreal cenote dives in Mexico. Descending through crystal-clear freshwater before reaching the dramatic “river” effect below creates a completely unique underwater experience, often paired with beautiful light rays and striking scenery.

After the first dive, we take time to relax, hydrate and enjoy some snacks before packing up and heading to Car Wash, around 30 minutes away. The drive gives everyone time to relax, warm up and chat about the first dive before arriving at a completely different cenote environment.

Known for its crystal-clear water, submerged trees and beautiful light rays, Car Wash offers a completely different feel underwater. Depending on the season, you may even see water lilies floating on the surface while schools of fish move through the clear freshwater below. Before the second dive, your guide will give another briefing specific to the route and conditions for the dive.

Following the dives, we enjoy a freshly prepared lunch, share stories from the day, and many divers take the opportunity to log their dives or compare photos before changing into dry clothes and heading back to Tulum.
